Jafo awards 4191 Students

Minister of State President's Office Hon.  Selemani Jafo has awarded 4191 pre-Diploma, Intermediate and Diploma of Local Government student diplomas earlier today on 31/10/2019 at the Magufuli Square plaza located in Hambala campus.

At the graduation Minister Jafo has called on the students to work with professionalism and integrity so that they can declare the good reputation of the Local Government College.

"I know many here will be hired and employed in our Councils. I want you to go and do justice to those councils, work hard and make positive changes in our Local Government Authorities."

The College provides relevant knowledge to the needs of the current job market, I receive many qualifications for graduates of the college as they work in different areas of the country, I believe you graduates today are better off to take advantage of this nation said Jafo.

He added that the Public Service Laws, Procedures and Regulations should be your guide in your day-to-day work, working very carefully so that we can become skilled professionals so that National development can be achieved.

At the same time Minister Jafo has called on all Councils to start implementing an improved system of opportunities and potential for development that has been developed by Hombolo Local Government College in collaboration with JICA.

"This improved system will assist our Councils in tackling developmental potential and see how they can take advantage of the opportunities offered in these areas" said Jafo.

Congratulations to the academy for being so eloquent and eloquent in the texts of the Vision and in the fight against the challenges in the Local Government Authorities ended Jafo.

The Principal of the College Dr.  Mpamila Madale said the campus apart from providing long-term and short-term courses has also focused on Research, providing expert advice as well as preparing academic publications.

He said so far the Local Government college has a total of 7436 students and the increase in students has led to a shortage of classes where this year they have been able to create one class able to accommodate 504 students using local revenue and the building has used a force account.

These graduations are the eleventh and have graduated from the previous Diploma in supply chain management, human resource management, archival management, and community development.

Graduate students in the Central Diploma are Local Government Administration, Accounting and Finance in Local Government, Supply and Procurement, human resources management, archival and records management and a community development Diploma;

At the same time qualified graduates at the Bachelor's level are Administration in Local Government, Accounting and Finance in Local Government, Human Resource Management, Community Development, Supply and Procurement as well as the Archive Degree 2019.
