On 05th December 2019, Minister of Tamisemi Selemani Jafo has announced students Selelcted to join form one 2020 701,038 students equivalent to 92.27 percent who passed PSLE in 2019 are selected to continue with form one 2020.Other students 58,699 did not get a chance due to the shortage of classrooms while the construction of classrooms should be done early so they could continue their studies.

Speaking to reporters today on Thursday December 5, 2019 Tamils Minister, Selemani Jafo said Students lack opportunity are from the 13 Regions in the country while the Kigoma Region has a population of 12,092 students. He said
"Among the nominees selected join form one 2020 boys are 335, 513 and girls are 365, 525," said Jafo.
Minister Jafo said until February 2020 the classes should be completed so that students can join earlier in the school.
