The Dar es Salaam Development Corporation (DDC) is the Government Organization established in 18th May 1971 under the company Act number 212 of 1971. In 1973 the organization kept under new Act of Parliament No. 16 of 1973 (District Development Corporation Act No.16). The Corporation was established with the aim of promoting Economic Development of Dar es Salaam City Council (DCC) by performing production activities, business and promoting entertainment to the majority in Dar es Salaam.
