Haven of Peace Academy Internship Programme
About the Internship Programme HOPAC is committed to developing future leaders and difference makers of Tanzania and recognizes the need for young Tanzanians to gain valuable work experience. We are therefore pleased to introduce the Haven of Peace Academy Internship Programme.
Interns will have a unique opportunity to gain short term experience working with a leading Christian International School, where they can sharpen their skills, prepare for future careers, and be equipped to enter the workforce as talented, experienced, and in-demand professionals.
Internships generally run from 2 - 6 months. The maximum term for an internship at HOPAC is 6 months. Interns should expect to work Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (five days a week), but, from time to time supervisors may also require them to be available to attend work activities during a weekend.
Interns will work directly under a supervisor and will receive constructive feedback on their work. At the end of the internship, they will receive a reference letter from their immediate supervisor.
We want interns to come out with as positive an experience as possible, having learned many new skills and gained exposure to the work we do. Our hope is that graduate interns will be able to join a full time position with any organization.
Although we will consider suitable candidates for full time positions within the school, completing an internship with us does not guarantee a position at HOPAC.
Eligibility:
- Must be self-motivated Tanzanian;
- Committed Christians;
- Between the age of 21 and 30 years;
- Able to communicate fluently in English and Swahili;
- Fresh university/ college graduate, or not having more than 2 years combined work experience;
- Interns will be expected to participate actively in the work of the school and to be positive, Christian role models in the school and community.
