About the Challenge
The second UDOM innovation challenge is a program sponsored by the Costech with the aim of supporting young innovators. Under this program students are invited to investigate some of the societal problems in health, education, business and agriculture sectors and produce innovative ideas to solve the identified problems. The program will pass through four stages which are; submission of innovative ideas, screening, pitching and prototype development. Successful prototypes will be registered to the IEC for acceleration and product development.
Objective of the program
The program aims at giving UDOM students a platform to transform from being job seekers into job creators through innovation and entrepreneurship.
Evaluation Criteria
The program will identify innovative ideas addressing some of the pressing problems in health, education, agriculture and business sectors. The proposed ideas should be unique, valid, employing simple technology and commercially viable. Moreover, multidisciplinary teams are encouraged.

Awards to winners
The successful groups/applicants will be mentored and facilitated to turn ideas into prototypes. Thereafter, they will be registered at the IEC for acceleration stage and linked to the markets after establishing startups.
